A worklist for the project, or a system for the boat
Pinpoint is project-shaped: a defect list against a location plan, superb during a new build, refit or warranty period, when the job is to drive a list to zero with a yard. KODO is boat-shaped: issues are reported by any crew member with a photo, become tasks, maintenance jobs or projects, get resolved with corrective actions an auditor accepts, and stay in the vessel's permanent memory. A refit worklist is one output of that system, exportable as a numbered contractor-facing PDF.
The question that decides it: what happens when the list hits zero? If the answer is "the project ends", Pinpoint served you well. If the answer is "the boat keeps operating and keeps forgetting", the worklist was never the real problem.
